In 2020, we were given the opportunity to design the Patricia Conde Galería booth for ZONA MACO art fair in Mexico City. Our proposal plays with an unconventional colour that contrasts with the white walls of the art fair’s generic aesthetic. The photography was framed in black and white to allow the works to stand out from our brightly coloured walls. Artwork labels containing the same bright colour were overlaid on the walls, causing them to partially disappear while at the same time remaining noticeable due to the distinct shadows cast by the thickness of their canvas. The small temporary gallery space also integrated different stainless-steel pieces and furniture curated by Studio IMA.
